Kraats Kaas was founded in 1976 in the Dutch town of Putten, in the province of Gelderland. In 2008, the company moved to its current location in Hoogeveen. This move was the first step towards realising a completely new, state of the art cheese processing company. Nowadays, Kraats Kaas offers a wide range of cheeses that can be processed into slices, grating and cubes, deliverable in different weights, sizes and packages.

The production process is highly automated, and has obtained comprehensive certification. This means that buyers are ensured of buying a product that meets all legal and customer specific requirements regarding quality, hygiene, processing and packaging.

Quality control

Kraats Kaas has a very strict quality policy; the company guarantees a permanent quality control during all elements of the production process. This has resulted in BRC and IFS certifications at the highest level. With IFS and BRC, each article that we deliver to our customers can be traced to the very last detail. The company work floor in Hoogeveen, which is 9.000 m², meets the highest industry standards for hygiene, quality and OHSA regulations. We do not compromise on this issue.

Kraats Kaas guarantees delivery reliability and a well above average quality in cheeses, packaging and total customer care. Hereby, the continuous availability of cheese – supplied by the DOC Cheese in Hoogeveen – is one of the most important elements.
